End of the Republic

Today,
the U.S. supreme court, by a vote of 6 to 3 (isn't it always), decided that
U.S. presidents are above the law, just like the justices, or so they think
anyway.
They
ruled that a president may do anything he wants as long as he declares that it
was done in the line of the duties of his office. And I mean anything. If he
does do something that violates a law on the books, he must be impeached and a
trial is held by the congress and lower courts.
It
seems that the U.S. congress may want to use that procedure to look into some
supreme court justices, just sayin'.
As
everyone knows, this republican congress will never allow one hair on their
demigod presidential candidate or one of the six conservative justices to be
harmed as long as they are in power.
As
Thom Hartmann pointed out in several articles, the supreme court falls under the jurisdiction of the congress,
but as I pointed out to my friends in Wednesdays round table discussion, this
republican congress will never touch that. So, the justices basically have no
higher authority anymore and justice Roberts knows this. He is counting on
America's continued belief that they are akin to Gods and are untouchable as
far at the law goes.
This
only gets better and better. So much for checks and balances between the three
branches of the government.
All
of this only hastens the end of the United States in its current form. Being a
representative democracy is pretty much a façade anymore. Voting by the public
is an exercise in futility as the wealthy elite choose who gets to go to the
state houses and Washington D.C. now. This is a country now where the will of
the people is a myth. It is the will of the richest one percent who decides how
the country goes. You can see how that is working out.
Let
me continue to read The Priest to give everyone an idea of how this will
eventually turn out.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I will be posting more videos and audio versions going forward as the United States and the world are entering critical times and the decisions made by world leaders everywhere will determine the fate of millions of people around the world this summer. Most of these decisions that are and will be made are solely because of the upcoming U.S. Elections that could determine the fate of the world as we know it.
I have my usual Wednesday show coming up this week with another episode of between friends where myself and my two amigos discuss what happened in last week's news that effects all of us in some way. I hope people will tune in to see what normal everyday people think of and plan to do to survive the future. Sláinte
